Proto Man | Mega Man 3 (Canon AU) | OTA

Arrival

Waking up in strange places isn't new for him. No, the new thing is the sensations. His senor arrays were not capable of feeling the softness of a matress, or the smoothness of sheets. His awareness of temperature should come from both internal and external gauges, not the way his body wanted to shiver.

When he gets up it is to the greatest shock of his existence. Not the list of sins. Not the old model phone, not his fear scattered around. No. When Proto Man pokes his skin it... feels. His arms are whole and intact. There is no damage from his many battles with Rock. His hair is... non-robotic hair.

It's so shocking that he doesn't bother to gather anything, just heads right out into the hall to look around. Someone has to confirm this. He reaches for the first passing person his grip is so weak, bone and muscle and tendons rather than steel and pistons and hydralics.

"Where is this place and where is my proper body?"

Stand Your Ground - Breakfast

Food. It is a concept that he understands as an absract thing. It powered them like the nuclear core he used to have once powered Proto Man. Humans were also powered by water and drinks as opposed to something reasonable like oil and energy tanks.

That didn't stop Proto Man from reaching out at the prompting of a demon. He is human now, thus meant that his body by needs required human styles of energy. Which meant food. He selects an item at random. A ring of fried dough. He remembers his father having these some mornings as a 'reward' while he looked over schematics. If his father liked it, it would be horrible.

Proto Man takes a bite and makes a noise of deep pleasure. He grabbed another donut, one for each hand, bite after bite.

"I see how father became so portly."

Network - Text

I always believed that the concept of Hell was a contrivance that humans used to keep other humans in line.

I just have to wonder why robot hell involves a human body.

[OOC: Open to just about anything. Proto Man is being taken from just before the end of Mega Man 3, and rooted in the canon constructed by The Megas' History Repeating: Blue and History Repeating: Red albums. Given he's a robot, he has been given a human body by hell, all the better to make him pay for his sins? Feel free to hit me up a [plurk.com profile] churbooseanon]
