There is a definite concern here - sometimes when sinners don't follow the rules of the room, things get worse for both people involved. Bucky, personally, would like to get by without pain, if he can. He does have a sense of self-preservation.

But more than that, he does have a need to save and protect others. He has no idea what might happen if the timer runs out. He hears it tick down and looks at their situation. The device feels deeply embedded in him, around his ribs, ready to pull at the bones.

He doesn't even know this poor woman, and her presented option is to dip her hand in acid.
