Klaus watches in horror as his brother convulses under the electric current he'd just sent through his body. It's barely a few seconds, but it feels like an eternity before he slams the dial back to 0. He has tears running tracks down his cheeks and he's barely able to hold back the sobs that sit in the back of his throat. What escapes is a whimper, and a hollow sort of sound that didn't have the space to be a sob, hovering inside his chest.

"I can't--" he breathes out heavily, shaking his head, "I can't do this- no more, please. Please, is this enough? Just let us go..." He heaves the words out, another soft whimper escaping him.

"One more," one of the demons growls. "and you can go."

Another one adds, "Something different, or he's gone."

Klaus isn't sure how much faith he should put into the words of a pair of demons, but it's all he's got to live on for the moment, so he quickly pulls the taser devices wires off of his brother and goes back to the table to select something else. There are so many terrible things to choose from, and he wants to do absolutely none of them. Tears sting his eyes and he's nearly overcome with indecision, but that last remark from the demons keeps playing over and over in his head. "or he's gone." He can't let that happen. He can't let Five die.

He grabs a cat o' nine tails and approaches his brother again. He feels sick as he stares up at his brother, disheveled, bleeding, and weak from everything Klaus has unleased on him. But this is it... this is the last thing. That's what they said, and as he raises the whip to lash his brother, Klaus just hopes they keep their word.
