"You think that makes it easier? You still gotta-" He shakes his head; he's not having this argument or conversation or whatever it is. No one is getting killed on his watch, whether they can heal or not.

So he doesn't hesitate, putting his hand in the acid, and he has to bite down hard on his lip because the effects are instant. It's about as unpleasant as anyone could imagine, and although he knows all too well what's happening, he focuses on anything but his hand that's being gradually eaten by acid.

Through gritted teeth, he manages to bite out a few words, "Some picnic, huh?" But he has a job to do, and that's grabbing the key that'll get Setsuna out of this. It takes what feels like a colossal effort, but he manages to wrap his fingers around the key and jerks his hand out of the bowl of acid again.

"Got it!" He's just going to ignore his damaged hand and grab the key with his good one so he can set Setsuna free.
