When she stops looking at the contraption he's hooked on, Bucky's mind immediately feels alert. When Annie walks back to the bowl, Bucky shakes his head. He only has the words, "Don't do-!" before her hand is elbow deep, and she screams.
By then, all he can do is give her the respect of watching, jaw clenched.
