There are a lot of people who wouldn't want to cross Annie. Except Homelander isn't one of them and she just knows that, instead of scaring him, the only thing that flicker of lights does is show her hand.
She'd already been concerned when Hughie mentioned that Homelander was here. But now that concern has alarm bells ringing and she doesn't like it at all.
Annie's well aware that any threats she throws at him will just bounce right off. Maybe he'll laugh. Or roll his eyes. Or be entirely dismissive. All the same, she moves so that she's standing in front of him again (which isn't a great way to start off trying to be intimidating; she's pretty much the equivalent of a wet kitten here).
"If anything happens to Hughie I'm holding you personally responsible." Even complete with her jabbing him in the chest with her finger. This could potentially be the most toothless, cliche threat in the history of threats.
