He met her eyes for a moment before turning his attention to the lock. It wasn't complicated, but with a hand that barely worked, it was a hell of a challenge. Three tries. It took him three tries just to get the key in the lock. Steve was all but sobbing from both the pain and the knowledge that he was costing Natasha more suffering. He could barely see through the tears that continued to drip slowly down his face, pausing now and then to try and wipe his cheeks against his shoulders, not that it helped.
When the key finally turned, he cried out with relief and reached for Natasha with his less-damaged hand, desperate to get her out and in his arms, "Natasha! Are you alright!?"
