He shook his head. "No, not at war, though conflict is just a part of life." He paused as he considered what she might like to hear of and he smiled softly. "We came upon a planet with sentient plant life, and I ended up meeting beings who transcended the third dimension. Their understanding of time was astounding, though it was a bit beyond me, but they were kind enough in their way. I did end up scaring my crew for a bit though - turns out I disappeared for a few hours while speaking with them."
