She nods. "And when it does, I do terrible things. Things that I wouldn't even think I was capable of otherwise."

So yes, maybe there are some ways she can change her future, find ways to delay the inevitable, but at the end of the day, the inevitable will happen. And she's going to have to deal with that, one way or another.
