Honestly, that's fine with him. He values her opinions and her perspectives, but this isn't really the time for unpacking all that. He might seek her out later for a follow up conversation, but he also might just let sleeping dogs lie.
If it weren't a little bit questionable to admit to this, the feel of metal against skin is- well, not invigorating, exactly, but there's something about the sensation that sends chills up his spine.
