( Caroline is the type that her grief is neatly tied into an impeccably gift-wrapped box. But, it's never forgotten or put away, and only opened when she doesn't have to be a parent, headmaster or recruiter. It still creeps itself open here and there. She is more secure about it, and she can even say Stefan's name without a tear coming to her eye. She'll always love him. But, being here is jarring enough, and holding it together for her daughters means she has nowhere else to displace it all.
