kisara was only interested in fighting off her own fear. it does help that ann doesn't make any sudden movements, unlike her dragon, who moves with a quick confidence that catches her off guard. but it also helps that they can understand each other, as only fellow animals can. so she chirps back, if warily so. still unsure of if she could trust them.
a dragon was still a dragon, however, so as their tails join together, she lifts her snout and gets her gumption up.
