Gabe laughs at that, grinning. "All right, all right. Well, the anti-tech secs are a dime a dozen. Pop up every couple years screaming about how science is the root of all evil. Most of 'em commit to it, too. I mean really commit. You ever been shot by a bow and arrow? That shit hurts."

Not that they last too long against guns and explosives, but Gabe has to give the crazy fuckers some credit.

"But the Sons of Plunder? They've been around a lot longer. Started out as mercs, far as anyone can tell, and they're trained the hell up. Tough fuckers, too. They've got it all - armor, gear, modifications you wouldn't believe. Sometimes they work for money and sometimes they go on raids talking about reaching Valhalla or some bullshit."

He shakes his head.

"They're good but they're crazy. Can't negotiate with crazy."

They're not even the weird ones, though.
