yugi mutou | yugioh!

i. library
[Yugi is a man on a mission once the Mares have been dealt with. This month feels like one where he has to make moves and find information before anything gets any worse.

As soon as he hears that the library is offering readings on Leviathan he makes a beeline for a table and listens in, sometimes wandering off to see if there are any texts that stand out on the shelves for himself, reaching up to take a look at that interesting-looking book juuuust out of reach on that high shelf... he could probably use a hand there.

School? Not his thing. Studying? Also not his thing. The library is usually not the option to pick in RPG scenarios, so he doesn't twig to it being useful from that perspective either. But the mention of something called a Leviathan being involved in a plot where souls are taken? That sounds uncomfortably familiar.]

ii. nobody's gonna know
[Oh, he's well aware of the curfew, and on most days Yugi would quietly abide by it. But this isn't rulebreaking for the sake of rulebreaking - why else would there be a curfew unless there was something to discover after? Library mechanics aren't usually the most useful options in a game, but trying to go stealth and bypass enemies to find some important information? That's a mainstay in any action RPG.

With someone he knows, he may try to convince you to come out with him as a fellow rulebreaker, eyes bright and eager as he whispers out his plan.]

Come on, just for a while? We can just take a quick look around before anyone even notices we're gone. Where's the harm in that?

[Or maybe you two don't know each other - both rulebreaking for your own reasons, past curfew and trying not to get caught. Yugi will gladly take some companionship this evening.

Or, whether you know him or not, maybe you're trying to scold him and drag him into the nearest venue so he doesn't get in trouble. It's about the only way he'd step anywhere near establishments like Club Penance.]

iii. they're gonna know (closed to roommates and cr)
[The bad news is - he does eventually get caught from his little post-curfew outing. But the good news is that the punishment isn't much of a punishment at all, at least as far as hell goes. Yugi is told to stay in his suite for three days, with a guard poised outside the door.

For any roommates or familiar faces that happen to swing by 302 for any reason, Yugi has taken up residence at the common area table, surrounded by games only half-set up and his Duel Monsters cards, his attention on a half-finished house of cards. It should be finished, an easy task, but he's distracted and unhappy that he can't go anywhere and--

-- he's frustrated. Maybe even sulky if you squint just so.]

[Feel free to pm me with any specific ideas, or throw down a prompt! Also happy to draft up any additional closed prompts. Will match format to prose if preferred as well!]
