“I can be, yeah,” Noah admits but he tries to focus through everything he’s actually on and levels Kaz with a look.

He isn’t sure how many people know about what they agreed to, and luckily he has enough faculties to not just blurt out that he and Kaz had something they were going to be working on.

Noah licks his lips slowly and clears his throat, “Do you really think I would do this to you without thinking about it first? I have my reasons if you would just trust me.”

Why would Noah go out of his way to guard Kaz in the damn hospital if he was just going to betray him or something stupid?

Pointedly he reaches for Jespers hands and carefully smoothes his fingers along his palms before lacing their fingers together.
