He hadn't seen Shion since that unfortunate excursion in the cages at the carnival. Leonard can't be sure - the kid was kind of mousey and quieter - but he has an uncanny knack for remembering faces. So there's a sharp glint of recognition in his eyes when he's put in next to Shion.
