Caleb didn't want Essek to do anything. He wasn't sure he wanted him to do most things, if it meant putting himself in danger or sacrificing himself in some way. They had to rely on each other. They were all the other had. As he sat here and Essek gently wrapped the bandage around his warm, he found himself cupping the back of Essek's elbow again.
