Ferroc considers asking why they don't just call them something else, but his train of thought ends up similar. Bad humans were still humans, and all that. Still, the difference is greater than a mere moral allignment. For someone who has witnessed a mountain coming to life, calling a tiny, perky little thing by the same name felt unreal.
"I've worked with delicate materials," he huffs, but stays his hand. "How about you open it up and I just look? No touching." He holds his paws up to accentuate. He does really want to see what makes the device tick, though, especially after that cryptic declaration that it was not magic.
If it was not magic, the charr could build it. Perhaps that crazy guy who wanted to harness lightning energy was onto something.
