"Oh, you have one too," Caleb said, choosing to pay attention to the dragon instead of the question about secrets while he was cleaned up. He stood there in the doorway, looking at the little beast and its aquatic counterpart, trying to thinking about which one was which. Asking was rude, wasn't it? Maybe.

"I should have been paying more attention to some of the shops, it seems. That's the second little dragon I've seen someone just...have. Aren't you worried...?"

The fish didn't seem to draw any more confusion than the dragon, come to think of it. Caleb took both in stride. Instead, he was busy slowly and with obvious pain unwinding his scarf and removing his jacket. Underneath, the book holsters he wore still sat flush to his sides, and the sleeves of his shirt were stained with blood.

"You might have to start the secrets," he said, "to set the tone. I would hate to go overboard at the start."
