As soon as Ferroc pounces, Mordecai decides that trying not to touch Angel is a pretty useless idea. He doesn't like it, but it's worse if she falls off. This also makes him very happy that he's learned to ride a horse.

While he grips Ferroc's fur with one hand, he puts the other between Angel's shoulder blades, and squeezes his thighs as he tries to follow along with the motions.

Now hopefully she doesn't do something like ... explode. Because, if so, he's jumping off and he'll take the scrapes.
