[ Jesse makes a face, looking across the table at Kylo. ]
What, you tryin' to be stuck in this room for another eternity?
[ A scoff. ]

[ But maybe Kylo's right...he ought to be more specific, because that door hasn't opened up to release them at Jesse's half-assed confession. He lets out a sigh and tips his head back, looking towards the dingy ceiling dramatically in thought. ]
Okay, so. I told the wife of my business partner that I was sellin' him weed, when really we were cooking meth together. She found my number somehow and confronted me in my yard. I thought she was there to bust me, like, really put my feet to the fire, but. She accused me of sellin' him weed, scolded me for doing it. She said I oughtta find a better business venture. I just went along with it. Didn't correct her. Didn't come clean.
[ A sigh. Maybe a little tinge of guilt. A look across the table at Kylo, searching his features for any hint of disgust at his confession. Not that he doesn't deserve some scrutiny. ]
She was pregnant. Maybe I shoulda' told the truth. Stopped everything in its tracks. I don't know. There's a lot I'd do different if I had another crack at it.
[ Jesse shrugs up his shoulders, baggy hoodie shifting on his skinny frame. ]
