but kaiba, to his credit, doesn't lash out again. he just sits there, and listens, and lets jun have his say. clearly he has some complicated feelings about this whole arrangement, and while he can't say he cares any more than before -- which is to say not at all -- he does listen. and he doesn't hit him, or leer at him, or even respond to his outburst.
instead, he gets up and tells the dealer:]
I'm buying him out. He's done. I'll be back to settle the debt later.
[an ominous claim indeed. but the dealer just shrugs, appears to accept it, and leaves them both be.
with the same cool composure, kaiba slips his shirt and coat back on, as if nothing out of the ordinary had taken place.]

[and the use of please almost seems omnious, if in a slightly different way.]
