[His eyes narrow dangerously when he is reached for again, but he does manage to resist any violent impulses the attempted touch and preachin give him. It's not that the words are entirely wrong; his host really has nothing to do with the things that have given Bakura the brand of being an evil spirit, nor does Ryou deserve being judged by association. He's honest enough to admit all of that - what kind of weakling wouldn't own their own actions? That and he's sick of watching the Pharaoh and his little 'squad' happily divide the world into 'good' and 'bad'.
Like any good body-snatching entity, Bakura cares for the physical wellbeing of his host, but after all the time they've spent with each other he can't quite help but recognize the kid's mind as well. It's by far not to make Bakura go soft on him, or to even just like him, but it's become a thing that Bakura won't let Ryou take any of the blows that were meant for him.
It's a weird little thief's honor (and a lot of pride) thing.]
Don't apologize for something you-... Something like that. [Taking a deep breath, he reminds himself to keep acting his role. At least until he knows where the weapons worth being called that are.] I don't usually mind it, but this place and everything leading up to it has me on edge. Sorry for acting like that. You didn't do anything wrong, either.
[Is this Ryou-like enough? He tilts his head, not quite able to not offer a lop-sided grin at the idea that he's somehow -not- evil himself.]
Isn't it usually the harmless-looking ones that are the worst monsters in movies?
