"I love baking. This is just another way of doing it," Annie says simply. She glows under his attention and is glad to have him with her. She would do anything to have him keep looking at her like that. It's like being wrapped up in a blanket fresh from the dryer.
"Now. We roll it and knead it like this." She tosses some flour onto the counter to keep it from sticking and rolls it and kneads it until it feels stretching and is in a nice ball. "Then we set it back in the mixing bowl and set it to prove for an hour. Basically... it grows and expands. Meanwhile! We can prep the sauce, cheese and toppings."
She chews on her lip thoughtfully. "I hate grating cheese. If we have to, do you mind...? I can tackle the sauce. That's simple.... and maybe we can get to know each other better?"
She wants to tell him everything. Well, almost everything but wanting to open up counts.
