"I... guess? But you're doing a lot better at figuring out how to be a better person than most." She is actually trying to listen to him. He is making good points about people who feel guilt. Annie knows she feels guilty for the truly bad things she has done.

Yet she knows there are things she wouldn't change. The witchcraft she couldn't go back on. What was done was done.

"I... can't actually explain the magic part," she says simply. "It was complicated and kind of tied into why I killed that person. He did have it coming, by the way. I don't casually hurt people." Annie studies his face. He has such strong convictions, she wishes she had that kind of strength.

"W..Well. What I mean is." She can feel her face grow warm. "You make it feel like I could tell you everything. That you're okay with me being me. That's incredible, you know."

It is an impulse but she decides to heck with it. He makes her feel good and he is handsome. A kiss is harmless. She presses her lips to his, quickly and briefly. It isn't a deeply passionate kiss but a soft, quick one.

"What do...What would you like to know about me? I promise not to hide anything."
