"Yes." There's not much to say to that. It didn't happen. Neither of them got to grow up in a free Japan. L.L at least had lived in that world now, a world where Japan was free, unshackled from Britannia. But it is still one where that history had happened, people were recovering, but the war and suffering had still happened.

There were plenty of people who probably deserved hell as much as he did, but they were not people he would want to be down here with.
