Well, that was little shift in mood. L.L cocks his head after Suzaku breaks his too-long stare to pour the wine for them. Perhaps he’s giving his all to living in the moment, the way he used to back in school in those days before he knew Zero was playing around with him. It had been sweet back then to see Suzaku smile and make friends with others and it’s sweet now to see him shoot that sort of smile at him.

Perhaps… Suzaku might be feeling true friendship once again? It’s that hope that makes L.L smile back warmly and raise his glass in an elegant toast.
