Suzaku doesn't have a weapon on him, he's put down the bucket. He can fight without one, trained in unarmed fighting as well as with a sword, gun or knightmare.

He doesn't answer the question, just readies himself, not taking his eye off the drain even before the lid is flung into the air and the spiders appear.

He's seen the spiders before, his roommate had a bunch as pets. He keeps Yoon Bum behind him and watches for now, if the spiders are just moving somewhere else there is no point in fighting.
