Steve didn't worry too much about rings on surfaces, he was too much of an obsessive cleaner for anything to really stain. The apartment was immaculate, but at least it wasn't clinically sparse. Which . . . sounded a lot more formal than he'd intended and Steve felt his cheeks flush a little in embarrassment.
