The praise sends a shiver down his spine, and for a moment he's lost somewhere between anticipation and anxiety before the rest sinks in. Is... is Steve back to normal now? He raises his head and searches Steve's face for a moment, both disappointed and relieved and apparently still having some trouble grasping reality of what has been happening.

He almost wants to ask if he did something wrong, but surely Steve wouldn't be telling him he did a good job if that was the case?..

He's still clinging to the bigger man, heart still pounding wildly, but some of the tension seems to be leaving his shoulders and the overwhelming nervousness appears to be decreasing.

"...okay," he whispers, cheeks still flushed.
