[Every so often, something happens that reaffirms Fitz's theory that they're cursed. They always seem to find one another in passing, a close call that sends them slipping through each other's fingers. By the time he catches a glimpse of her, the succubi have made their rounds, and he's half-slumped against the chair beside his own, lacking the will to sit back up after one of the demons was petting his head like an animal.
When he sees her properly though, she takes his breath away. His mouth drops open, and his heart swells. But he struggles beyond that, glassy eyes squinting as he tries to make sense of the feeling. She's a misplaced angel, but he can't quite gather his thoughts enough to place her name.
