Shion's mouth snapped shut. He stopped talking and concentrated on breathing, on trying to stay calm. No talking at all is harder but he can do it, he can be silent as the last three letters are carved into his skin. He can't read it so he has no idea how close it is to being done until the other boy throws the knife aside and lets go of him.
Red eyes flicked up again at the words. Not a language, an alphabet. He nodded and looked down again at the letters in his skin. "Are you going to tell me what it says?"
He had been told to ask no stupid questions but he had also answered nothing yet and not it was finished. Now it said something.
Perhaps it was personal but still Shion wanted to know what it was that had been written into him.
