Well no, I didn't think you would stab me. You haven't any hands to hold a knife. And you already promised not to bite. I just wasn't sure you'd feel comfortable with my hands all over you. It's a little trickier to tell what part is what when you're a snake. And I've told you before, I barely have any experience with genuine magic. I have met shapeshifters before though and they seemed pretty beholden to the laws of nature and physics. Magic seems to play fast and loose with everything.


[Loki as a snake was adorable as well as pretty, especially when he grumbled. Steve was careful as he first gently stroked Loki's head with a single finger, then tried to carefully gather the little snake up, so he could hold his friend. Which just sounded weird in his head. Steve was especially careful not to grip any part of Loki too tightly, well aware of how fragile and vulnerable the man probably was.

He brought the little snake close to his face, grinning.]
