Steve seized on the new topic, desperate to get away from talk of lists and debts and their new home. He'd never had a pet before either, but it hadn't been a lack of desire or permission that kept him alone. There'd been no way to feed a pet back when he was a kid, not that it stopped him and Bucky from trying to sneak dogs and cats home. And when he was older, after the serum, he'd not even had a real home, just life on the road going from battle to battle.

Now though? Now Steve found himself painfully lonely, missing people both from back home and the island, and a pet just seemed . . . like a solution? He lifted both brows at Draco, waiting for an answer.
