Frank laughed a little, the mental image of a small rash of bites cropping up invading him and just as quickly dispersing. The smile lingered though, curious and a little overwhelmed maybe. It was something he hadn't encountered, which wasn't saying much. For all the shit that had been on television and in the news, super-powered people in New York and elsewhere, he was just a Marine from Manhattan.
"Nah," he said, shaking his head. "I mean, it's not something I've come up against, but that doesn't mean shit. You know, half the people in New York might have been too, I just wasn't paying any attention."
If he was thinking about fangs and biting and anything else, he kept that to himself. It wasn't Jessica's responsibility to slack some sudden curiosity.
