[Even on a good day Steve didn't sleep all that much, his body requiring only a few hours to be fully rested, but he definitely had more bad days than good, especially when his bed was empty. The nightmares came then and usually pushed him into a corner to curl up, or stole the rest entirely. He was used to that and considered it just punishment for the things he'd done to those who's faces haunted him in the wee hours. Having James in his arms however, changed that.
