Cain pauses mid-drag, though it isn't super obvious that he's gone stock still in surprise at the casual admission. He recovers quickly, trying to play it off like it hadn't shocked him.

"Permanently? Seriously?" Yeah. It's pretty obvious he's serious, but he can't just not comment on something like that, "You'll have a list if you're curious. If it's anything like mine, half of it will be bullshit."

Cain ashes his cigarette over the back of the couch again, shaking his head.

"Nothing. People like that, like my uncle, everyone knows about it, no one says shit, and everyone just sort of... tolerates it. Ignores it. Pretends he isn't a piece of shit. That's kind of how most stuff like that is dealt with," He shrugs, fairly neutral about it all. It was just the way things were as far as he was concerned.
