Klaus laughs at the turpentine comment. "Well, there's various other things if that one's not agreeable to you," he says, gesturing with his cocktail hand to prove his point.

He blinks a couple times and downs half of what's left in his glass. A goblin. Of course! Why not! Why not goblins!

"Well, where I come from, I guess you, um, goblins are really good at hiding." Or they didn't exist, which as far as he knew was more accurate, but he's not feeling particularly antagonistic and he has no idea what to expect from anything nonhuman, though of course this goblin dude has been totally nice the whole time.

"You got a name?" he asks. "Mine's Klaus. Oh, and we don't...dig ice out of glaciers or whatever. We make it. In little ice trays." Actually, this freezer has an icemaker, which is a little weird for Klaus, considering the level of technology back home. "You pour water in the tray, pop it in the freezer, and after a few hours, bam! Cold drinks for everyone. Cheers."
