Normally James might not be as quick to indulge. He likes to keep his senses sharp and his mind focused, but here he has little reason to give a shit. The prospect of letting go, losing himself a little, is incredibly tempting, which is why he's so eager to accept the offer, even going so far as doing exactly as told and staying where he is until Klaus comes back.

His smile stretches wider once he brings with him a single pill, plucking it from Klaus's hand, his free arm curling around his waist.

"Down we go," he says in manner of toast, parting his lips and sliding the pill into his mouth, pushing it slowly across his tongue before closing his lips again around his fingers. He feels the pill start to dissolve in his tongue, and he swallows it down in one go before it falls apart completely. Then all it's left for him to do is wait to feel its effects.
