[Andrej, though he'd sat through catechism is his youthful days and might have, in times of crisis, uttered a prayer to the Holy Mother, had never felt himself to be particularly religious, certainly not by high Aznir standards of old. The particulars of the situation that he found himself in now may have been giving him serious cause to reconsider his irreligiousness.

Penance for his sins was not undue. More than earned, in truth.

For all of that, the look in Ramsay's eyes is an all-too familiar one. Is it not enough to be punished for his sins, that he must give in to the perverse delights of another? Though it might be fitting, one could suppose, the mind naturally rebels against the thought.

Besides which, Andrej finds himself not fond of how the other man grins.

Taking his own knife in hand, testing its weight in his hand, he replies with dark humor:]

I am afraid it may take more than a full eighth for my own and I am loathe to keep you overlong. Really, it may be faster to determine what else awaits us in time.
