But Sougo climbs down the ladder to meet up with Hughes, holding out his hand for the hammer. "Thanks. You're the best. Seems like we keep running into each other at places where the demons are especially annoying, huh?"

He heads over to the fallen demon in order to take his whip, and he offers it to Hughes. Sougo has the hammer for a weapon, so maybe the guy could use the whip?
