The short version is, all of us have supposedly died and arrived here in Hell -- or some version of Hell, as it were. We are to seek redemption for our sins, after which, Lucifer claims, we will be allowed to leave and have a second lease on life.

In the meantime, we are sometimes subjected to torture or affected by strange events. Trusting the demons isn't wise, and you should likely steer clear of the club. Others who have been here longer could probably tell you more.
