Nezumi isn't normally someone who easily shows his pain. Instead, it's easier for him to play invincible, but this level of agony is impossible to completely ignore. If Shion is in the mind to notice, Nezumi is following the advice he'd given the white-haired boy when torturing him: deep, even breathes, focusing on oxygen and less on shredded nerve endings.

He's trying, anyway.
