Yeah, Wynonna's not even going to begin to pretend like she cares if she kills the wrong demon. They're all fair game as far as she's concerned right now. She's almost impressed as Homelander grabs the other demon and takes off with him. It's smart. Strategic. It means they can't gang up on her.
It's also something she never would have thought of. They make a good team.
But there's not a lot of time to dwell on that. She doesn't grab Peacemaker at first. She doesn't want to make this too fast. So she grabs he knife she usually keeps tucked into her boot and throws it, hitting the demon clear in the shoulder.
"I heard there was going to be a knife throwing game so I thought I might practice my skills," She taunts, catching the demon's attention now, distracting him from his missing friend.
"It's you, the bitch with the mouth."
Wynonna laughs a little. "If I had a dollar every time someone called me that." But then there's no more time for banter because the demon is rushing towards her, and this time she does pull out her beloved security blanket gun, aiming it at his forehead.
"Let this be a reminder for your friends, I'm nobody's plaything."
The barrel of Peacemaker glows a bright orange, like it always does in demonic presences and she takes the kill shot, hitting the demon square between the eyes. He drops dead and for a moment, the coil of anger in her chest loosens a little. Now if they can just find the one that compelled her next, they'll be in business. For now she'll be grabbing her knife back, trying to wipe it off the best she can before putting it away.
