[ Jane presses herself so close to him, it like she's trying to will herself to melt into his skin. The smell of him, just as pleasing and comforting as she so vividly remembers. She chokes out another sob.

Then she feels vibrating, shaking hands carressing under her chin, tilting her face to look up at his. What she didn't want, to have to see him like this, so sad and suffering and broken --

But it's what he wants. To see her. Because he's the one tilting her face upward. So she can bear it. For him. ]

You didn't overdose? Oh my God! Thank God! [ She sounds like she really can't believe it. Because she can't.] But... then... how did you...?

[ How did you end up here? is the rest of that question which goes unsaid, although he can probably guess where her sentence was going. But knowing he didn't overdose fills her with something warm. Hope, for the first time she arrived at intake here.

As much as she hates the idea of him having to find her like that, dead and lifeless, hates thinking about the pain it caused him, it's still better than thinking she caused his death too. Selfishly, despite knowing the pain it causes him, she's glad to know he at least made it out of that night alive, even if he apparently didn't stay that way for long. ]
