[ Jane hasn't had the chance to miss him the way he missed her because, for her, she just saw him last night. She allows herself to meet the intensity of his gaze, blinking slowly. She can see the shimmer of tears that in his eyes and one side of his face, gently brushes under his eyes with a hand, ready to catch any tears that do fall, should he let them. ]
[ When he presses his lips to hers, though, she removes her hands, wrapping them around his shoulders instead, tilting her head and kissing him back. ]
