When he saw the recognition in the man's eyes, Peter knew he was on the right track. "I'm not sure, since they're from a different Earth than I am. But if they died, that's probably why they're here now." Peter scratched the back of his head. "Of course, I don't remember dying, so I'm not 100% on that theory."

So this man was from the other Avengers' world, but he didn't know about the multiverse or alternate worlds. That would take way more time to explain than either of them had. "Long story short, there are a lot of other worlds. Infinite numbers. Some are pretty similar to yours and mine, but with little tweaks here and there. Mine has superheroes, too, ones with the same names. Other worlds don't have us at all, or they only have superheroes in fiction. It's confusing if you've never experienced it before."
