The cottage was quiet but for the sound of Molly in the kitchen, which meant it wasn't quiet at all. Music played from his phone, filtering through their small home as Molly worked on making dinner. The soup was an experiment, his attempt at making something that was as close to xhorhasian food as he could get in hell. Flatbread was cooking on the stove and the cottage was suffused with the smell of herbs, bread and the sound of Molly humming, slightly off key as he worked.

It was disgustingly domestic but he'd found some pleasure in finding ways to surprise his husbands, especially Essek. Little things that might earn that faint smile he was so good at.

"You're back early," He said as the door opened, turning to look over his shoulder at Essek. "Caleb's not back yet, I'd bet he got distracted in the library."
