Henry looks at his heart again, a look of fascination on his face instead of disgust or fear. "It was a vampire; Crowly was a vampire; one night, he was discovered and went to kill the whole settlement; my wife and I ran for the coast like it would save us; she was heavily pregnant; I had to save her and my child." His voice breaks just slightly, "He was too fast, too strong; I barely escaped getting my head cut off; I tried to shoot him, it didn't do any good; he punched me so hard it broke my sternum and collapsed one of my lungs, I was drowning in my own blood." Then, he pauses, "I watched him pick Edva up by the ankles and slam her into a tree, caving her face in; he bit her neck, she started screaming it hadn't killed her, and slammed her into the tree again, snapping her spine."
He'll get to Virginia, but this clarification is necessary, at least to Henry.
