Caleb would not judge if they used the heart to draw their venture to a close. It was pragmatic, curious, directed for a single purpose. No doubt, that would be marked with a sin. But how could it be, when it was something so fundamental to both of them?

The judgements in this place didn't bother Caleb, particularly. They were what they were. And he had always been driven, pragmatic, curious, striven. It would not change here.

"I think," he said, because he was still considering these things, "they'll be connected. We'll have our own private spots, doors to shut if we need to, space to make our own. But everything will fit together. Maybe the bedrooms will be just that, with a large tub. And then the rest can be other things. The library, of course. A laboratory. Somewhere for Molly to practice with his swords. And the cats."
